The City of Breezy Point is seeking a Planning & Zoning Administrator. Under the direction of the City Administrator, the Planning & Zoning Administrator is responsible for all planning & zoning related duties including but not limited to the development and implementation of land use plans, regulations and policies; conducting development/project/application review processes, and ensuring positive and effective enforcement of City policies and ordinances. Additional duties include serving as the primary staff member supporting the Planning Commission, receiving and issuing building permits upon approval of the Building Official, and managing the City’s short-term rental licensing program.

The minimum qualifications for this position are a 4-year bachelor degree in planning or related field and three years of demonstrated municipal experience in planning related activities. Comparable private sector experience or any combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this position may also be considered. AICP certification is desired.

The Planning & Zoning Administrator position is an exempt, non-union position, and the 2024 pay range for this position is $39.49-$51.53/hr. ($82,139.20-$107,182.40).
